Is there a guy in his 70s cooler than Leonard
Cohen? I mean like a guy who is actually doing
really cool stuff in their 70s. Sean Connery hasn't
done anything cool in ages (The Rock? Maybe?
Like 15 years ago?), Dennis Hopper was pretty
great in "Land of the Dead", but he was
technically in his late 60s at that point. Harry
Dean Stanton is probably cooler, and he's in his
80s. He's amazing in literally anything he's in,
but as Roman Grant on "Big Love" he's a creep
of the century......ANYWAY, Leonard Cohen is a
dude in his 70s who still makes awesome music
that sounds like nobody else. This is a real great
live album, as it captures what a great performer
he is, not just a great songwriter. And that voice!
Everybody who hasn't heard Leonard Cohen,
NEEDS to hear Leonard Cohen, and this is as
great a showcase as any. |
